Stephen Oduor Dede alias DJ Shiti ,is the newest dad in town. The celebrated actor cum comedian welcomed his newborn daughter through his social media platform. He shared a photo of his new born on Instagram although he covered the face of the newborn with an emoticon. He further went ahead to accompany the photo with a caption of what is presumed to be the daughter’s name. The caption was dubbed, ‘Mariam Auma Oduor Dede’.
This came as a surprise to Netizens since the artist has always kept his dating life underwraps.Online detectives have not yet got wind of the artiste’s baby mama or wife. Magazine’s bae remains to be a mystery until further notice. In a recent interview with Jalang’o, the comedian revealed that he worked tirelessly to make ends meet for his family before his rise to fame. He stipulated that he recognised the role that family played in his life.
Recently, the celebrated artiste hit the airwaves after he performed a skit in which he mimicked Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho. His well performed skit and well cut out looks stole Vera Sidika’s eyes who went ahead to drool over Dj Shiti. Vera Sidika went as far as asking Magazine out for a date.Thereafter, Shiti’s photos were in circulation on social media for sometime with Netizens tasked with the role of guessing who the owner of the rare photos was. Dj Shiti went ahead to post the photo on Instagram and even went as far as tagging Governor Joho. The household name commenced his career at Nakuru Players Theatre where he started out as a stand-up comedian as well as acting setbooks and plays.He revealed that his friends pushed him to go the comedy way since they realised that he was quite talented.
“My friends told me I was a born comedian and this went on my school life , prompting me to consider focusing on comedy which was my first love.” Thereafter, Magazine auditioned for a comedy show on Churchill’s love industry.Magazine has also acted at TRHK (The Real Househelps of Kenya) ,a move that earned him a large base of fans and followers.
The popular comedian also prides in being a Brand Ambassador for Star Times Kenya.Through a statement from Startimes the company confirmed the news,
“Startimes Kenya has appointed Stephen Oduor popularly known as Dj Shiti as the Brand Ambassador in an effort to further entrench the pay television company in the Kenyan Market. ”
inspite of his many achievements, the celebrated comedian has concurred that the journey has not being easy. The ‘nitaambia watu nini’ comedian revealed earlier in an interview with Betty Kyallo ,that he was once homeless in the streets of Nairobi as he tried to make ends meet in his career as an artist. He revealed that he made friends with commercial sex workers in abid to survive the rough city life.
“I made friends among the commercial sex workers at Koinange Street. They loved how I spoke an dnicknamed me Mr. Motivator. They however probed me to tell them where I stayed, I bowed in to their demands and told them the truth.”
