  1. Two medium potatoes (shredded)

  3. Half an onion (shredded)

  2. Heat your cooking oil in a pan then add slice by slice.

  2. An onion
  3. Cooking oil
  4. Salt
  5. Spices (optional)
  6. Coriander or Parsley

Preparation

  1. Boil your potatoes and let them simmer until they are tender.
  2. Fry your sliced onion until it turns golden brown and put aside.
  3. Cut your boiled potatoes into desired shape and sauté them to achieve the desired brown colour.
  4. Add your browned onion, salt, coriander or parsley and spices (optional).
  5. Serve hot.
  • Mashed Potatoes

Add your favourite stew to this and you’ll have yourself a main course meal. If you have kids, mashed potatoes are a good healthy option.

  1. A few potatoes
  2. Salt
  3. Milk
  4. Margarine

Preparation

  1. Boil your peeled potatoes in salty water until very tender and put aside.
  2. Melt your margarine and heat your milk.
  3. Mash your potatoes as you add the melted margarine and milk until you achieve the required consistency.
  4. Serve hot alongside your desired stew of choice.
