Tecra Muigai to be buried in a private ceromony

The untimely death of Keroche heiress Tecra Muigai caught many by surprise whilst breaking the hearts many. She was the beloved last-born daughter of Mr Joseph Muigai Karanja (Chairman, Keroche Breweries)  and Tabitha Karanja (C.E.O, Keroche Breweries). The deceased passed on on the 2nd of May 2020, In Nairobi hospital following a domestic accident. The circumstances of her mysterious death are still under investigation.

According to her obituary published in Tuesday’s newspaper, Tecra has been described as a loving sister to James Karanja Muigai, Anerlisa Muigai, and Edward Muigai. Tecra was also a loving stepsister, auntie, niece, cousin, and a friend to many.

Her obituary revealed that Tecra was a dynamic, creative, and empathetic leader who indeed touched the lives of many. She was also an iconic and transformational thinker. On matters regarding her burial, it was noted the ceremony was going to be held at a private event with only family members allowed. The obituary also thanked friends from far and wide for heartfelt condolences.

Until her tragic death, Tecra was the strategy and innovations director at Keroche Breweries and passed on at her prime years.

The boyfriend to the deceased, Omari Lali, was detained for 21 days as the primary suspect to the death of Keroche heiress. Lali was reportedly living with Tecra in a private residence in Lamu where she fell from the balcony to her death. He was arrested in Lamu on Monday, May 4, by Homicide detectives after police found inconsistencies on the circumstances leading to Tecra’s death.
