Nairobi governor’s eldest daughter Saumu Mbuvi has finally confirmed that she will be saying her vows to her long term boyfriend, Lamu senator, Anwar Loitiptip.
She disclosed the wonderful news on her Instagram handle today through a video recording while in her car with fiancée Anwar.
“Wedding date confirmed.” Saumu revealed.
However, she did not publicly disclose to the exact date that the long awaited ceremony will be taking place but we sure hope it is will come soon.
The two started dating back in 2019 after they met in Mombasa. Saumu had visited the Coast for her holidays while the senator was there for business matters.
Their relationship hit off but they kept it a big secret from the public to avoid a lot of media controversies and interferences with their personal life.
About one year later, in the month of March 2020, Saumu gave birth to their first child together. This was the second born child to Saumu after she had her first daughter, Sasha, from a previous relationship.
Coincidentally, both her children’s birthdays are on the same day despite them being born years apart. When Saumu received her bundle of joy earlier this year, she celebrated her birth with a sweet message,
“Today morning we were blessed with a beautiful baby girl, and still it happens to be my firstborn’s birthday as well as women’s day. I am more than grateful to God for all his blessings. The day I became a mother was the most magical day of my life.” Wrote Saumu.
Before dating and getting engaged to senator Anwar, the 24-year-old was in a relationship with Benson Gatu, a business man and aspiring politician.
The two had dated for nine months before parting ways. Saumu disclosed that Ben was abusive towards her, which prompted her to leave him while she was pregnant with his child.
